I am currently a researcher at the ISTC-CNR, the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies of the
Italian National Research Council,
where I carry out researches on swarm intelligence and swarm robotics. I have been working on two of the most
successful projects in this field, namely the Swarmanoid Project and the SWARM-BOTS Project.
I own a Ph.D. in Applied Sciences, delivered in July 2006 by the ULB. I also received a Diplôme d'Études Approfondies in 2003 from ULB, a Master in Information Technology in 2001, from CEFRIEL, in Milan, Italy, and the Laurea (Master of Technology) degree in computer science engineering in 2000 from Politecnico di Milano in Italy.
My research interests span over evolutionary robotics, swarm intelligence and self-organising systems. Take a look at my Ph.D. Thesis, titled "On the Evolution of Self-Organising Behaviours in a Swarm of Autonomous Robots"
